The Himalayan Holistic Mission (HHM) is a non-profit organization officially registered with the Government of Nepal in 2024 and is located in Tarkeshwor-02, Kathmandu, Nepal. HHM was founded with a vision that had been growing for many years in the heart of its Founder and President, Mr. Shusil Kumar Tamang.

Mr. Tamang was born into a middle-class farming family in a remote Himalayan village and is the eldest of five children. At the age of 17, he lost his father, and his family faced severe financial hardship. Unable to continue his studies, he began working in construction to support his family. Later, two of his younger sisters were also forced to leave school due to economic difficulties.

These experiences exposed him to the realities of poverty, vulnerability, and limited opportunities. During this time, he made a personal vow: “If I ever become successful, I will share my blessings with those in need, because I once experienced the same struggles.” This promise became the foundation of his lifelong calling to serve others.

By God’s grace and with the support of kind-hearted individuals, Mr. Tamang resumed his education after a seven-year gap. As his family’s situation gradually improved, he and his family began reaching out to those in need—offering encouragement, supporting livelihoods, and helping restore hope for a better future.

Since 2020, these efforts have grown significantly, strengthening his conviction that lasting change requires collective action and an organized approach. After nearly two decades of nurturing this vision, the Himalayan Holistic Mission was officially established in 2024.

Today, HHM carries out its work through three core missions: Compassion Mission, Educational Mission, and Sustainable Community Development Mission. Through these missions, HHM seeks to restore hope, uphold human dignity, and bring sustainable transformation to vulnerable communities across the Himalayan region.

What began from one person’s experience of hardship has grown into a shared mission of compassion and transformation. As we look to the future, HHM remains committed to empowering communities and building a brighter future for generations to come.
